School Savings

At Bridgend Lifesavers Credit Union we recognise the importance of teaching children, from an early age, the importance of saving.

By supporting School Savings Schemes across Bridgend County Borough we aim to help improve financial literacy in children while building the habit of saving regularly. Our pupil-led savings clubs are designed to combine financial education and family engagement with teaching valuable money management and life skills.

Bridgend Lifesavers Credit Union provides all the resources and training required but the running of the scheme – the collection of money, the paperwork and administration – remains the responsibility of the children with the support of Governors, parents or members of staff, as necessary.

We are currently running our Schools Savings Scheme in a number of schools within the county borough of Bridgend. These schools include:
